The patio of the restored building of the Escuela Normal Mixta in Gracias, Honduras, was designed to recycle old construction materials, use local low-tech technology and materials and respect the existing trees. The building houses the technical departments of the municipality. Outdoor waiting rooms and a stage are protected from the sun with the arcade that encircle the patio and the existent vegetation.
