Urban space
2025
Oslo (NO)

An urban space experiment demonstrating how small, precise interventions can transform overlooked urban pockets into inclusive, evolving community spaces with people at the center.

Reclaimed wood from a disassembled låve (Norwegian for barn), painted in traditional red, over discarded granite blocks, and the overlapping assembling technique itself anchor the design in local tradition - lending permanence and authenticity, not temporary decoration.

The space is intentionally flexible: users define its use, shaping it over time to reflect their needs and identities.

More than physical design, it’s a framework for collective ownership and a model for urban renewal that fosters belonging, not displacement.

Designed and built in collaboration with Architects Without Borders Norway.
